The anti-slip base does a decent job on most surfaces, but my kitchen tile is really smooth and it still slides a bit when my eager dog goes at it. I put a rubber mat underneath and that solved the problem completely. The feeder itself works well and has cut my dog's eating time down.

The yellow version I ordered is bright and fun-looking, and the build quality is better than I expected at this price. My dog caught on quickly and mealtime is much calmer now. Only reason for four stars is that I was hoping for a few more color options.
