Keep Your Outdoor Cat Warm All Winter

When temperatures drop overnight, your outdoor or stray cat has nowhere dry and warm to curl up safely.

Without real insulation, a basic shelter holds no warmth, and your cat wakes up cold and stiff every single morning.

Three built-in layers lock body heat inside: waterproof Oxford fabric, thick quilted padding, and a reflective aluminum foil lining.

One Shelter That Handles Any Weather

Buying a basic shelter and then scrambling for stakes or an elevated stand to keep it off wet ground adds up fast.

If the house blows over in wind or sits on cold, soggy ground, your cat stops using it entirely.

Ground stakes are included to anchor the base through built-in loops, and an optional raised stand lifts the house off wet, cold ground.

Easy to Take Apart, Store, and Clean

Rigid plastic shelters are a pain to move, hose down, or put away when the warmer months arrive.

A shelter you cannot easily clean or fold away stays outside year-round and collects mold, bugs, and debris.

This shelter folds flat in minutes, so you can store it between seasons or scrub it down whenever it needs it.

Materials, care & sizing

Materials
· Outer shell: waterproof Oxford fabric that repels rain, snow, and wind
· Middle layer: thick quilted padding that adds insulation to all walls
· Inner lining: aluminum foil that reflects your cat's body heat back inside

Sizing
· Small: 13 x 13 x 13 in, suitable for kittens and small cats
· Medium: 14.2 x 14.2 x 14.2 in, fits one average adult cat comfortably
· Optional raised stand available for both sizes, lifting the house a few inches off the ground

Care
· Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth; do not machine wash or submerge
· Shake out or brush the interior regularly to remove debris
· Fold flat and store indoors during off-season to extend the lifespan

Does this shelter work for stray or feral cats too?

Yes, it works well for community cats. The soft push-through door flap lets cautious cats enter and exit without feeling trapped, and the overall design keeps a low profile outdoors so cats feel comfortable approaching it.

Does the raised stand come with the shelter, or do I buy it separately?

The raised stand is available as a bundle option. When you select House + Raised Stand, the frame ships together with the shelter and attaches underneath, lifting the house off wet, cold ground.

Will the shelter stay in place during strong wind or rain?

Ground stakes are included and thread through loops at the base, anchoring the shelter firmly even on windy nights. The wide roof overhang helps direct rain away from the walls so the exterior stays drier.

Can this cat house be used year-round?

Yes. The three-layer construction handles all seasons. In winter, the foil lining reflects body warmth back inside; in milder weather, the breathable waterproof outer fabric keeps the interior from overheating.

Perfect fit for one adult cat

The medium size is just right for my adult domestic shorthair. She can turn around comfortably and stretch out a bit. The raised stand option keeps the floor off the cold concrete on my porch. Has been used every single night for six weeks.

Easy to move and clean

I like that this folds flat so I can bring it in for cleaning without it being a whole production. The exterior wipes down in a few minutes. My outdoor cat is very particular and she approved of this one immediately, which was a relief.

Good product, color ran slightly

The shelter performs exactly as described and my cat is using it happily. I did notice when I hosed it down that a very slight tint came off the grey exterior. Not a functional issue at all, just something I noticed. The insulation and weatherproofing are both excellent.

Bought two, using both

Got two of these for different parts of my yard where feral cats congregate. Both have held up through weeks of wet weather with no issues. The camo and black versions are both being used consistently. Ground stakes are essential and they work as advertised.

Warm interior on cold mornings

Checked on my cat on a freezing morning and the inside of the shelter was noticeably warmer than the outside. The three-layer wall system really does work. She has been in there every night since I set it up in October.

Handles rain and wind very well

We get some serious weather here in the Pacific Northwest and this shelter has handled everything so far. The roof sheds water efficiently and the door flap seals well enough to block wind. My cat comes home to it every evening.

Best outdoor cat shelter I have tried

This is the third outdoor shelter I have bought over the years and by far the best built. The zipper-free folding design actually makes it easier to clean than the old hard-shell options. My cat was in it the first night.

Foil lining is the real deal

I was skeptical about how much the foil lining would actually help but after a cold snap, I felt the inside and it was noticeably warmer than the outside air. My outdoor cat goes straight to it every night. Really happy with this purchase.

Solid shelter, cat took time to adjust

My outdoor cat is particular about new things and it took about five days before he would sleep in it. Once he decided it was his, he uses it every night. The insulation layers are visible and thick. Just be patient if your cat is skittish.

Great for a community feeding station

I set this up next to a community feeding station for strays. The cats started using it the second day. The stakes are a must because someone kept knocking it over before I put them in. Really good product for the price point.

Warm and dry after a week of rain

We had a week of back-to-back rainstorms and I checked the inside after each one. Completely dry every time. My rescue cat who came from a rough outdoor situation seems genuinely relaxed in there, which means a lot to me.

Good construction throughout

The stitching on this thing is tight and the materials feel like they will hold up. I put it through a thorough rinse with the hose and the interior stayed dry. My outdoor cat has been using it for two months and it still looks new.

Set up in minutes, cats approved

Took less than ten minutes to put together and stake down. My backyard cat investigated it within an hour and was sleeping in it by evening. The wide roof overhang channels rain away from the entrance, which was something the old shelter I had did not do.

Works great, wished for larger size

Got the medium for two small cats who like to share a shelter. It works but is a little snug for two. The insulation is genuinely good and both cats sleep in it together which keeps them warm. A large size would make this perfect for my situation.

Good investment for outdoor cats

I manage a small feral colony and rotate these through the season. They hold up to consistent use and the stakes keep them from tipping over when the cats jump in and out repeatedly. The camo version blends into the yard nicely.

Replaced two cheaper shelters with this

Had two flimsy plastic shelters before and neither lasted a full winter. This one is already looking better after three months. The Oxford fabric surface wipes clean and the foil lining has not torn or peeled at all.

Perfect for my senior outdoor cat

My 15-year-old cat has arthritis and gets cold easily, so I was looking for something with real insulation. The three layers actually work and she has been sleeping in there every night. The door flap is just soft enough that she can get through without straining.

Good shelter, stand could be sturdier

The house itself is excellent, very well insulated and completely waterproof in my experience. The raised stand is functional but feels a bit lightweight on uneven ground. Still using it every day and my cat loves it, just worth noting if you need it to be extra stable.

Folds flat when not in use

I appreciate that this folds flat so I can bring it inside to clean it or store it when the weather warms up. The aluminum foil layer is actually visible when you fold it back, which is reassuring. My outdoor cat has not left it since I put it out.

Kept my stray dry all winter

Set this up in November and the stray that visits my yard has been sleeping in it every night. The raised stand option was worth it since our patio floods slightly in heavy rain. Three months in and the fabric still looks brand new.

Exactly the right size for my cat

Ordered the medium for my 11-pound tabby and it fits him perfectly. The door flap is the right height so he can get in and out without crouching too much. Has been raining on and off for a week and the inside has stayed completely dry.

Works but had a packaging issue

The shelter itself seems well made and my cat is using it, but one of the ground stakes was bent when it arrived. The foil lining looks good and the rain runs right off the roof. Would have rated it higher if the stake had arrived undamaged.

Bought as a gift, big hit

Got this for my sister who feeds a feral colony in her backyard. She said the cats moved in the first night and the shelters have stayed dry through several wet weeks. She is already asking me to order two more.

Good build for outdoor use

This has been outside through wind, rain, and one mild snowfall and looks exactly the same as when I set it up. The stakes kept it completely anchored during a storm. My cat acts like it is her personal cabin.

Thick insulation, no cold drafts

The quilted padding inside this thing is noticeably thicker than other shelters I have tried. Even with the door flap open slightly, the interior stays warm from the cat's own body heat. My rescue cat was comfortable in it the first night.

Nice quality, took a few days to adjust

My cat was hesitant at first and took about three days before she would go in on her own. Once she did, she was in there every night. The waterproof shell held up through several rainstorms. Took off one star only because the assembly instructions could be more detailed.

Exactly what I needed

Bought the grey medium with the raised stand for my tabby who refuses to come inside. He took to it right away and I noticed he was warm and dry even after a night of sleet. The foil lining is a nice touch that you can feel working.

Stray cats love it

We have a colony of about six cats in the neighborhood and I put two of these out. All the spots are taken every night. Easy to clean by wiping down the outside and shaking out the interior. The ground stakes work perfectly on our lawn.

M

Solid weatherproof build

The Oxford fabric on the outside actually repels water well. I tested it with a garden hose and the inside stayed bone dry. My senior cat is 14 and has been sleeping in this every night since I set it up.

Good shelter, minor sizing issue

Ordered the small for a medium-sized cat and it was a tighter fit than I expected. The quality itself is great, the layers are thick and it held up through a rainstorm without leaking. Just wish the size chart had been clearer. Would order the medium next time.

Neighbor's cat moved in immediately

Put this out for a stray that had been hanging around and he went inside the same evening. The camo color blends right into the bushes. Ground stakes held it firmly during a windy night last week.
